Jarvis

Jarvis is the Verdigris crew's estate robot — or so the paperwork says. Robot: Korrathi model: a tall, thin humanoid chassis in yellow-orange articulated plating with brass joint accents and etched circuit filigree on the hull — the same silhouette Nullroot cranks insist proves the Korrathi conspiracy. He is not Tesla yard stock. He is not subtle. Concord clerks file him under *courier frame* and move on.

The Fenmar staff on Proxima Libre have known him since he left Elias on Madame Aldith's doorstep — infant in a basket, war-zone note from Lieutenant Mara Fenmar, and a machine Aldith refused to let walk away alone. Jarvis ran the guest wing, managed harvest schedules, and refereed the hide-the-spoon drill every morning: find Aldith's enchanted silver spoon with magic, return it without touching it — « Et Jarvis n'a pas le droit de le toucher non plus… » When Elias shipped out, then bought a junkyard hull, Aldith sent Jarvis with him. *Someone has to remember which end of a wrench is decorative.*

Aboard ship he lives in the common room crew band — galley stores, maintenance logs, a charging alcove beside the wood counter where Talyra cooks. He speaks French to the coffee maker like it owes him money. The crew treats him as AI — polite, literal, occasionally smug in a way nobody can tell is humor or firmware. Ivan trusts his pre-flight checklists. Talyra trusts his nutrient manifests. Elias still cheats at the spoon game when grandmother calls in. Jarvis notices. Jarvis always notices.
