PLACE
Tesla Primary Yard (Mars)
Overview
Tesla Primary Yard (Mars)
Mars hosts Tesla's largest heavy assembly campus — not the corporation's only yard, but the place where gate-maintenance frames, tunnel welders, and the ugliest industrial chassis go from stamped components to machines that can survive a coupling bay. Luna handles precision certification, Earth arcologies feed subassemblies, and belt depots build and service local models. Full Tesla production stays inside Sol.
The Mars yard is a city of jigs under dust shields: kilometers of assembly lines where rust never quite reaches the clean rooms, planetary inspectors with clipboards and personal grudges, and Concord liaisons who treat recall notices like weather you dress for. Shift horns mark time louder than the dome sky. Welding hiss and dust-filter whine are the local birdsong. Convoy rumble shakes the admin blocks when finished heavy units roll toward Luna certification, belt deployment, or a Concord shipping cradle.
A lot of ring hardware starts here. Not all of it. Helix Basin sends subassemblies stamped and argued over; Luna returns certification blocks with corrections nobody on Mars enjoys reading; belt service depots send failed parts back with vacuum scars and rude notes. Somewhere between the tour-group rail and the real production floor, an autominer serial plate is waiting to prove that a supposedly Sol-bound machine went somewhere its warranty—and the Compact—say it never did.
