LORE
The Hardfell Core System
Overview
The Hardfell Core System
Outsiders who say "dwarf homeworld" and mean one king are the same people who think a mine is a hole. The league's cradle system is Hardfell Core — a metal-rich cluster where the High Seat never cools, foundry orbits glow like angry constellations, and every approach lane is sized for ore convoys, not tourists.
Hardfell is the named world at the center: canyon foundries, pressure-sealed hold-cities, and the High King's hall where system kings argue when spreadsheets fail. But Hardfell Core is not the whole league. The Hardfell Industrial League holds hundreds of chartered solar systems across the Orion Corridor — belt platforms, smelter moons, frame test yards, and station modules stamped Guild Licensed whether or not anyone on Hardfell ate breakfast yet.
Solar government runs the same way everywhere: one System King per chartered solar system — production law, pit quotas, corp charters, and local fleet within that star's borders. Above them sits the High King, who breaks inter-system feuds, speaks for the league to foreign powers, and decides when exterior hostilities stop being "someone else's problem." The High King does not run every pit. The system kings do — loudly, constantly, and with family grudges measured in centuries.
